Maybe I can say this is my first complicated cake till now. The first time I saw it on www.joyofbaking.com (my favorite website), I was immediately attracted to this cake for the red color was so eye-catching. That was the first time I got to know about a cake called Red Velvet. I love the beautiful red color of it.
I couldn’t get mascarpone then. And since mascarpone is not cheap, I wanted to gain more experience in baking before touching that expensive thing. So I preserved the recipe, waiting for the right time to come when I became confident enough and of course when I could forget all about the price to buy home one pack of mascarpone.
Now the time has come. This is my fist time making this cake. So fortunate, I didn’t have to make it the second time. The cake came out of the oven just nicely baked. With the recipe adopted from joyofbaking, I used less than two-third of the total amount of sugar. Luckily, the sweetness was just to my taste. This was the first time I made a cake with four layers, so I was bad at dividing the cake. That’s why the layers did not look equal.
Many first times here. The first time I tasted one of the most popular American cake. The cake was amazingly tasty. I finished one and still craved for another one.
