I just wanna say thank you to your many great recipes. I printed many out and they have become common dishes in my kitchen. Yes, the pictures are great too!
Would you have vegetarian recipes to share?

Hi there!

I live in Jacksonville, Florida with my husband. My parents and sister and her family also live here. We escaped from Vietnam after the war and have lived in the states since the mid 80s.

Growing up, I ate vietnamese food my parents cooked or ordered from restaurants. But it is only the past few years have I really come to appreciate and enjoy this cuisine (as well as other asian cuisines). Cooking/baking has become my hobby and I would rate my cooking skills as early intermediate. I have been teaching myself through internet food websites mainly and blogs such as yours.

I was looking for a recipe for corn and glutinous rice dish and stumbled upon your blog. You have created a terrific website and I thoroughly enjoy perusing through all the recipes and pictures. Through food, I am learning a little more about my heritage. So I thank you for allowing me into your little world and for sharing a piece of your happiness.

Congratulations on your wedding. I wish you 10,000 years of happiness!

Happy Cooking!

It's a great idea. I used to make a taro sponge cake, where I mixed mashed taro with whipped cream and put this mixture between sponge cake layers. It was wonderful :)

I've tried potato chiffon cake (white) in a lovely coffee shop once and dying for it. It's great to find your recipes and I'm going to make it asap. What I'll do is to save a few small pieces of sweet potato, mix it with whipping cream, and put it between layers and also on the top of the cake. Guess it will look nicer & taste better. What do you think? ^-^
