I made French baguettes and left some for breakfast. Getting tired of having bread with plain cheese and butter, I remembered garlic bread to add more flavour to a simple slice of bread.
Just by looking at these bread slices, you may not think that they are garlic bread because I used more chopped parsley than usual. A normal garlic bread that people conveniently get from a fast food stall is less green or is not green at all. Maybe I should change the name to "parsley bread".
I made these slices out of imagination. Preferring lighter and less fat for my light breakfast, I used a lot of chopped flat-leaf parsley and a generous amount of crush garlic but just a small cube of butter. I mixed them together with some salt, then spread this mixture over one side of the bread slice. Put them into a toaster and toasted for about 5 minutes at 200o C to get them golden brown.
Now enjoy these bread slices. You will see that they are totally different from the normal garlic bread that uses a lot more butter. Hope you will like it the way I did.
